The Federal SBIR/STTR programs award over $2.6 billion in high risk R&D funding annually to qualified small businesses.
The head of the USDA SBIR Program, Charles Cleland, will be on hand to introduce the program and take 1-on-1 meeting with participants to discuss their prijects individually.
The following workshop, given by Mark Henry, will cover all aspects of writing SBIR/STTR grants focused on the USDA including: eligibility, sources of funding, agency differences, understanding what reviewers look for, and step-by-step instruction on how to write each section of your proposal.

About Mark Henry
Mark Henry has been offering SBIR-related training sessions and workshops nationwide since 1984, and has given SBIR/STTR talks at more than 60 National SBIR Conferences. He was one of the first individuals to receive a national “Tibbetts Award” for outstanding contributions to the SBIR program. Mark has been involved in the planining, preparation, and production of more than 2,500 SBIR and STTR proposals.
For 17 years, Mark managed the government proposal effort at Bend Research, Inc.--a firm that won 175 of 350 Phase I SBIR proposal submitted, as well as 83% of 72 Phase IIs submitted.
Mr. Henry offers a broad range of content covering many aspects of the programs, including program overviews, Phase I and Phase II proposal preparation, managing Phase I to get to Phase II, a session on reviewing the reviewers, and Phase III commercialization strategy.
